Audit MODECOR (Modern Décor & Wood Product Mfg. Co. Ltd.) in Saudi Arabia desired to put up a continuous lamination facility based upon the technology of "VITS" for the paper impregnation and "HYMMEN" for the continuous press. The offers were received individually from both these suppliers. MODECOR placed an order on LCS for the technical audit of the entire project with specific details for the total requirement of the plant and machinery equipment including the scope of "VITS" and "HYMMEN". The audit also included review of the specifications and the machinery offered by "VITS" and "HYMMEN" vis-à-vis the project requirement. LCS carried out a detailed audit and had a meeting with both "VITS" and "HYMMEN" including various other vendors and provided a technical audit report for MODECOR to ensure that there are no gaps in the project, equipment supply and logistics. The report was submitted in the month of December, 2000. |

Supply Of Solid Waste Incinerator During the technical audit it was observed that MODECOR shall generate solid waste from various sources such as impregnators, presses, and sanding / cutting of the boards. MODECOR needed to dispose off this solid waste for which various options were available. After discussion and weighing the various options it was decided to incinerate such solid waste and recover the heat by generating steam which is required by MODECOR for resin manufacturing plant. LCS supplied an incinerator plant to MODECOR on turn key basis. Scope
of LCS included basic, detailed engineering, equipment supply, erection
and commissioning assistance. The supply part has already been completed
in May 2002. The project will be commissioned in November 2002. |
